Empower To Grow (E2G) Manufacturing in America Grant

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has established an initiative to support the Administration's Made in America goal. It will help restore America’s economic dominance and national security by empowering small manufacturers to achieve sustainable growth and industry leadership.

Through hands on training, small manufacturers can effectively address workforce shortages and bridge skill gaps. The grant will provide workforce development in key manufacturing industries, such as timber, energy, aluminum, steel, digital and automotive to help manufacturers scale their business.
The SBA is looking for organizations that will provide technical proficiency and essential skills including operating machinery, quality control, welding, utilizing industrial software, and workplace safety.

Eligibility:
Be a for-profit or not-for-profit entity (i.e. trade schools, vocational institutions, or community colleges with a proven track record of success in workforce development).
Demonstrate that it has the capacity to provide hands-on manufacturing-related training and technical assistance to small businesses on a regional or national level.
Have been in existence continually for at least the past three years.

Grant Information:

Estimated Value: Up to 3 grants; totaling $1.1 Million

Period of Performance: Nationwide implementation with a 12month base period and 4 optional extensions

Delivery Model: Hands on training focused on practical manufacturing challenges

Partner Criteria: Trade schools, vocational institutions, or community colleges with a proven track record of success in workforce development
