The Vice President of Operations is a senior leadership role at APACC, responsible for building the systems, processes, and execution engine that power the organization’s membership growth, fundraising events, and internal operations. This role partners closely with the Associate Executive Director and has wide latitude to design workflows, improve tools, and strengthen how APACC delivers programs.
The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands on. They thrive in a fast moving nonprofit environment, enjoy owning outcomes, representing the organization in the community, and helping a mission driven organization scale through strong execution.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and Scale Operations
- Own day to day operational systems supporting membership, finance, and events.
- Serve as a key partner to leadership on budgeting, reporting, planning, and audit readiness.
- Build efficient processes and tracking systems that help APACC grow sustainably.
- Identify risks, streamline workflows, and strengthen organizational performance.
- Drive Signature Events and Programs
- Oversee operational execution for major events and programs, including budgets, vendors, timelines, staffing, and logistics.
- Lead volunteer teams and committees to deliver high quality experiences.
- Manage schedules, milestones, and cross functional coordination.
- Ensure consistent delivery standards across initiatives.
- Strengthen Systems and Compliance
- Maintain strong internal controls, documentation, and compliance practices.
- Oversee membership and sponsorship systems, including ChamberMaster records.
- Prepare reports and dashboards for leadership and the Board.
- Collaborate Across the Organization
- Work closely with members, corporate partners, and community leaders.
- Support fundraising and partnership execution.
- Act as a trusted problem solver and operational thought partner.
Requirements
- Experience executing day to day operations, programs, or administrative functions, ideally in a small team environment.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with budgeting and financial processes.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience with CRM or membership systems preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary up to $60,000.
