APACC, PNC and HKTDC Host Round Table Discussion "Hong Kong is Open for Business"

No doubt, COVID was a disruptor for the global economy. Hong Kong was especially cautious to return back to normal with some of the strictest travel restrictions. As of March 2023, "Hong Kong is Open for Business" and ready to welcome back the international business community.

The Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce (APACC) and the PNC Financial Services Group will host a presentation featuring Winchell Cheung, Director Midwest of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council’s Chicago Office for a roundtable discussion with APACC members and those with interests in Asia. Mr. Cheung will share updates about the latest developments in Hong Kong, the Greater Bay Area and ASEAN, and more importantly, the business opportunities for Michigan businesses to leverage Hong Kong for overseas promotion.

Additionally, Tonya McNeal-Weary, Managing Director of IBS Global Consulting, Inc. in collaboration with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, is leading a delegation of U.S. companies to Hong Kong in December 2023. Ms. McNeal-Weary will share her experience as a global consultant assisting SMEs with their overseas marketing strategies and the benefits of traveling to Hong Kong under a tailored business mission program.

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council is the official trade promotion arm of the Hong Kong Government. HKTDC’s role is to facilitate two way trade and help companies looking to grow in Asia via Hong Kong by offering industry recognized trade shows, conferences, business matching services and on-line sourcing platform .
