DESCRIPTION:NEW AMERICAN DREAMS: National Immigrant Integration Conference   Solidarity   Strength   Transformation (NIIC 2019) is the largest conference on immigrant and refugee rights and integration in the United States. Co-hosted by the National Partnership for New Americans (NPNA)\, Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services (ACCESS)\, Michigan Immigrant Rights Center and Michigan United\, NIIC 2019 will bring together over 1\,000 leaders working in support of America's immigrants and refugees.\n\n\n\nNow in its 12th year\, NIIC is the annual convening for the entire immigrant and refugee sector\, and draws policy makers\, advocates and direct practitioners\, community\, business\, faith and labor leaders\, researchers and academics\, thought leaders\, culture makers and influencers from across the country\; NIIC plays a central role in this powerful and diverse field. NIIC runs for 3 days\, typically features over 200 speakers in 5-10 Main Stage Plenaries\, 10-12 Issue Area Tracks comprised of over 40 breakout sessions (workshops\, trainings\, smaller panel presentations)\, Affinity Groups\, Author Talks\, Film Screenings\, Performances and more.\n\n\n\nIn the lead up to the pivotal 2020 election and amidst a policy landscape that is among the most anti-refugee and anti-immigrant in American history\, this year's NIIC will provide an especially crucial space to advance our shared vision of a democracy that is truly welcoming\, inclusive and uplifting for all.
